Exchange lessons on green development

On September 29, 2025, the Lao Journalists’ Association (LJA) and CARE Laos launched a training on Green Issue Reporting for Mass Organizations and Civil Society Organizations under the GAMCIL Project in Vientiane Capital.

The event was honored by the chairmanship of Mr. Somsavath Phongsa, General Director of the Media Department, Mr. Savankhone Razmountry, President of the LJA and Ms. Bouakham Douangpanya, Project Manager of the GAMCIL Project. The training was attended by representatives from over 20 associations across the country.

The objective of the meeting was to enable participants to exchange lessons on green development through the Standard Curriculum for Green News Reporting. This curriculum focused on techniques for data collection, content analysis and product contents on social media by using modern technology, including artificial intelligence, as a tool to help participants create content more effectively.
