Training on Green Issues Reporting for citizen journalists

On May 11, 2026, an official opening ceremony was held for the training workshop, which will run until May 15, 2026. The event was honorably co-chaired by Mr. Savankhone Razmountry, President of the Lao Journalists’ Association, and Mr. Somsack Sakounkham, Deputy Director General of the Mass Media Department, Commission for Information and Education of the Central Committee.

The objective of this training is to build the capacity of general social media users in creating high-quality content regarding green issues. The program focuses on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into media work while fostering a deep understanding of media management and strictly adhering to journalistic ethics.

Throughout the training, all participants demonstrated great dedication, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to learning. A key highlight was their collaborative effort in “showcasing their best creative media products—ranging from insightful posters to high-quality videos,” all driven by the innovative ideas of each and every participant.
