Training on Green Issues Reporting for Lao civil society organizations

From August 18 to 22, 2025, the Lao Journalists’ Association and CARE Laos organized a training course on Green Issues Reporting for Lao civil society organizations under the GAMCIL project in Vientiane.
The training hosted 33 participants, including 28 women, from Sekong, Savannakhet, and Vientiane Capital. Its aim was to enhance participants’ knowledge of environmental reporting to enable them to create detailed content on green development. The curriculum covered journalistic ethics, the importance of gender roles and rights in the digital age, the use of digital tools for content production, and safe dissemination through online platforms.
As a result of the training, participants were able to produce content, such as posters and videos, related to green issues using digital tools. They gained the skills to create and present this content effectively. The produced content will be published online to raise awareness of current environmental impacts.
