“Green Issues Reporting” Training in Luang Prabang

On May 4, 2026, the GAMCIL Project officially launched a training on Green Issues Reporting for representatives from eight northern provinces in person and for representatives from the central and southern regions through online, to empower them to deliver environmental news that is both impactful and modern.

The opening ceremony was honorably co-chaired by Mr. Savankhone Razmountry, President of the Lao Journalists Association (LJA), Mr. Bounlay Douangdeuan, Vice Head of the Luang Prabang Provincial Propaganda and Training Board, and Mr. Bounpheng Thammavong, Senior Program Delivery Manager of CARE International in Lao PDR.

Key objectives of this training are to sharpen skills in writing engaging and compelling short news stories, provide in-depth knowledge on environmental fundamentals and “green” issues, and introduce AI tools that streamline news production, ensuring efficiency in the digital age.
