Training on Green Issues Reporting for Lao civil society organizations

From July 28 to August 1, 2025, the Lao Journalists’ Association and CARE Laos organized a training course on Green Issues Reporting for Lao civil society organizations under the GAMCIL project in Vientiane.
The training hosted 40 participants, 21 of whom were women, from Vientiane, Bokeo, Attapeu, Xieng Khuang, and Champasak provinces. The aim was to enhance participants’ knowledge of environmental reporting to enable them to create detailed content on green development. The curriculum covered journalistic ethics, the importance of gender roles and rights in the digital age, the use of digital tools for content production, and the safe dissemination of content through online platforms.
As a result of the training, participants were able to produce content, such as posters and videos, related to green issues. They gained the skills to create and present this content effectively and concisely using digital tools.
