GAMCIL Project visits and exchanges lessons with the Deep C Blue Wastewater Treatment Factory
On December 15, 2025, in Hai Phong, Vietnam, the Lao Journalists’ Association (LJA) and CARE Laos, operating under the GAMCIL Project, led a delegation of 10 participants from the Lao PDR on an exciting learning journey to the DEEP C Industrial Zones in Hai Phong.
This was not just an ordinary visit, but an opportunity to experience advanced and modern green innovation. Participants were engaged in a deep study of the large-scale Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, which can turn wastewater released from factories, households, and shops into clean water and can be reused by using highly efficient technology. Furthermore, the plant also led a tour to a tree seedling nursery, various kinds of vegetables, a staff park within the plant premises, and concluded at a large wind turbine used to generate electricity for internal use.
This confirms that the Deep C Blue Wastewater Treatment Plant is actively involved in responsible environmental management.
This knowledge exchange has created significant inspiration for the Lao journalist team, empowering them to become a vital voice in reporting excellent environmental stories and sustainable development in the Lao PDR.
This journey not only accomplished its mission but also established new knowledge networks that will lead to the creation of more profound and engaging news content!
